Wyndham Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace Casino, Nassau

You know there’s a saying you hear in Nassau wherever you go: It’s better in the Bahamas! And, everywhere you go, everything you do, see and eat, really does seem wonderful. Perhaps it’s the climate, the romance, the friendly people, I can’t put my finger on it. But one thing is for sure, after a day of fun in the sun, you’ll be ready to relax. And, there’s no better place in Nassau to do just that than at the Wyndham Nassau Resort Hotel at their beach lagoon.

Located right in the middle of Cable Beach, which has long been known to be one of the best beaches anywhere. There’s a natural reef that’s about a half mile out from shore, that sheers the waves off, so you get an incredible swimming pool deck right outside the doors of the hotel. The waters are shallow, so you can wade right in and the kids will love it.

Originally owned and operated by a cruise ship company, this fabulous resort was designed to be a one stop shop for the perfect vacation in the grand style Wyndham is known for. From the blissful lagoon to the fantastic Crystal Beach Club pool with its spiraling water slide, to the swingin’ nightclub for evening entertainment or the fabulous spa, this amazing resort has it all. Even a Las Vegas style
casino! Wyndham has made sure their guests will
enjoy their stay.

The hotel has spared no expense to make things comfortable, and that goes for the rooms too! The resort has a whopping 850 rooms in its five towers, each with its own private balcony and a great view. All either look right over the ocean or have island views, which will overlook the inland part of Providence Island (Nassau).

With designer furniture and luxurious linens, the rooms here really do insure a comfortable stay. Just in case you feel the need to connect with the outside world, they also have flat screen TV’s, cable and pay per view movies, plus reasonable day rates for wireless internet. Mini bars, refrigerators, hair dryers, irons, coffee makers, toiletries, the list goes on. Anything you require can be made available upon asking.

Now for a little action, saunter into the Crystal Palace Casino. The casino offers 30,000 sq. ft. game room where you can have all the excitement of Vegas in the warmth and charm of the islands. Featuring 400 slot machines using 1 cent to $100, you’re bound to get triple 7’s. Well, at least a few cherries, anyway. There are nearly 40 liberal table games including, blackjack and let-it ride; as well as roulette, baccarat and craps. That’s one heck of a casino!

All this gambling is making me hungry. And when it comes to food, the resort has plenty of choices. The Wyndham has 10 different restaurants to choose from. There’s Moso, their new Asian restaurant. It’s right off the casino floor, overlooking the beach area and is a real draw for guests and locals alike. Featuring authentic classic and modern Chinese cuisine combined with culinary offerings from Thailand and Japan. This casual, family-style service allows all dishes to be shared, making a night at Moso fun for couples, families and groups of friends.

Missing home already? Then there’s always good old Black Angus, America’s affordable steak house restaurant. Serving the same select beef favorites with just a touch of the island spices and all the trimmings you’d get back home. They’ve also just added a new seafood buffet called Seaside, featuring only the freshest in season choices from the Caribbean Sea. For those with a sweet tooth, don’t miss Crystal Sweets Café for ice cream creations that can’t be beat.

In the evening, if you aren’t into gambling, try out the 22 Above Lounge, for cocktail concoctions and live music on the weekends. Sip on the latest libation and shake your booty to some fun sounds.

One other thing that is really great about the Wyndham is its location. One of the best features of Cable Beach is its location. You’re only about ten minutes from the airport. And there’s a 15-minute ride right down to downtown Nassau, with the straw markets and everything that’s available there. You take the bus and it only costs a dollar.
But when you’re ready to seriously relax, check out the resort spa. Located right between the Sheraton and the Wyndham. It’s a 10,000 sq. ft. spa that has all new facilities. So you can come in from the beach, get your spa experience, get your stone spas, get whatever massages that you’d like, and sort of be pampered right here between both properties. You can have a massage right out on the beach. Now that’s for me!

With all of this in one amazing resort, why would you ever want to leave? Escape from the hectic world to a seaside haven at The Wyndham Nassau Resort & Crystal Palace Casino on Cable Beach, a tropical beachfront paradise, waiting to be discovered.
