Hotel Palace Praha, Prague

Though I’m not royalty, staying at the Hotel Palace Praha in Prague gave me a glimpse into what a noble’s life is really like.  In fact I’ve never been so pampered. The goal of the Palace is to attain “a statement of quality and service” and if you ask me, they’ve made their point.

The Palace was originally built in 1909. It’s located in the heart of Prague and is close to just about everything you want to see. The hotel has always been a hot place to stay. Celebrities, politicians, musicians, travelers and businessmen have all called the Palace Praha home at one time or another but don’t for a minute think that the hotel has suffered due to her use. She has been renovated and refurbished numerous times throughout her history. The most recent of which was in 2000.

When you enter you’re room, you’ll immediately realize that the Palace has been modernized and well taken care of. Each room has central air conditioning, satellite TV, WiFi, high speed internet access, a mini bar and a safe. The furnishings of the rooms are well-appointed and beautiful which includes luxurious fabrics and furniture. The baths have Italian Carrara marble and deep tubs. Other than the hotel’s sauna, there is no better place to layback and unwind. My favorite things about the room though aren’t even in the bath. They are the little touches like fresh flowers and fruits.  Of course you can expect attention to detail like this from the Palace. Their friendly staff is always striving to make your stay absolutely perfect which helps to explain how they became a member of the Leading Hotels of the World.

If you’re in the mood for a bite, you can order up room service at anytime during the day; but for fine dining, head down to the hotel’s restaurant, the Gourmet Club. The atmosphere here focuses on warmth and refinement from the hardwood floors and accents to the linen tablecloths. The light sounds of the piano playing in the background sets just the right tone for a romantic meal for two. The cuisine is a mixture of Czech and International delicacies that can be perfectly matched with a wine from their extensive list. Just recently the Gourmet Club was named one of the Top 10 International Restaurants in Prague and in my mind, it’s well deserved.

For lighter meals try the hotel’s Gourmet Club Lounge. It’s just the place to go for a casual dish or signature cocktail. At least once on your trip, you’ll have to try the Restaurant L´Epoque’s spectacular breakfast.

While in Prague, allow the Hotel Palace Praha’s concierge to help you plan and book your trip. They know all the best places to see and they are really friendly.

Located within the city center and just 25 minutes from the International airport, the Hotel Palace Praha is an absolutely lavish place to spend your vacation in Prague.
